Thank you Coop for that good information! That's very exciting Coop what you described to me! Also thank you OldJoeClark! Merry Christmas to all of you! Sorry if it took awhile to respond. I was opening gifts with my family. Does anyone have an idea of my coins value?

Halo1st, it is one of the most interesting errors I've found on a modern coin. It came out of the roll like this and I saw the piece still attached to the rim. Coop thinks it was Struck Through a piece of Copper plating foil which makes a lot of sense so far. Please update me on this post if you find out or what you think it is. :)

Probably not a premium for this. More of an educational piece than anything.

How come Coop? Trying to learn still. Is it a common error? I still think it's very cool though. I kept it and carefully placed it in a non PVC coin flip. Thank you for your taking your time on telling me what it was.

Probably not a large demand for this. A lot of things people find interesting, in the long run, later they determine in not a premium coin. A coin is really worth what some one will pay for it. Otherwise, worth what it says on the reverse of the coin.

Thank you Coop for explaining this to me. Now I understand. It's a great educational piece still. Since it's BU condition from the roll, it's a keeper for me. Still worth a little more than a cent because of its high MS BU condition.

Errers and Varietys, Sorry to scratch my head so long, but Christmas / family duties come first this day. Though I wonder a bit with current images, I have to bow to coops knowledge and interpretation.
Bright coins are difficult photograph and or interpret. Most rim burrs on copper tend to have a bit more curvature when layed over and struck through.
Viewing current images I see a potential strike though copper plated zinc burr might be present. On the other hand I can't 100% tell if it is attached to the rim or struck through a piece of scrap at this time. Thanks, Doug.

That's okay. Christmas/ family duties are more important and come first. Unfortunately, that little piece that got Struck Through broke off in its coin flip and I even placed it in there carefully. I was very upset that it broke off, but it is what it is. I still have that piece in the coin flip that broke off during when I was trying to carefully place it in there.

Yes, it is. It is not a primary interest of mine, but when I have the extra time I like to look through and see what the folks are finding.

Hey, even though it's not your primary interest, it's still awesome that you look through when you have time and are not so busy monitoring everything. And the best part about it is you're learning new information as well!

I am definitely learning. I know a lot more about errors and varieties than I did ten years ago.
