In my non-expert opinion, the 86-07 UNC Eagles is just an OK deal. The only key that seems to get more than the rest of the dates is 1996. Only other one people seem to paying more than usual for is 2008, I guess because its new. Looking at recent eB*y purchases, let's just say you pay $40 for the 1996. The rest average for about $22 at this time. That comes out to $480 no shipping yet. That amounts close enough to $500 so you aren't getting ripped off, but you aren't getting a killer deal either.

Guess it also depends on how much you value having the collection put together already, and how much you would spend on shipping collecting the individual pieces. I would just say though that there are deals to be had buying, selling, and trading your way to having the entire unc collection since it isn't really that difficult nor expensive to put together. You just gotta be patient. For example, you may be able to get SAE's from local dealers or even eB*y for about $20. Maybe less. It's not impossible.

As long as you don't have to have the 2008 Reverse of 2007. If so, Ouch.

The total on PCGS price guide for all of these sets is 1472. So I figured that 1000 or 950 for all would still give me a profit. Am I right or wrong? Thanks for all the help guys.

My main goal in this is the make somewhat of a profit. I know that it will not be that high but I am looking for all and any ways to pay for school. haha. I dont think that there are any small dates in the lot but the envelopes are said to be okay,

What would you offer? I dont think he will sell for under 950.

I did a very quick browse of the completed ebay auctions on mint sets and I still feel $500 would be the right price if your intention is to profit from these.

Having the three 1976 Silver sets and 28 sets with 40% silver Kennedy half dollars might make the lot more valuable. The six 1970 sets (with the "key-date" 1970D Kennedy half dollar) could resell for $15 each.



Another thing you might consider doing, and IMHO could be fun, is breaking theses coins out of their OGP. Build some albums or sell the key dates individually. You might even find a few of those Ikes or SMS coins are worthy of certification and higher resale; it really depends how cherry-picked these sets are. You might even find that you want to keep an album for the long run, and fill in the missing dates.

If it isn't too late, I just got a 64 - 98 run of proof sets for about 325 for all of them. This should give you a frame of reference for how much you may be able to sell them for. The good ones are the 92 - 98 sets.
