@murty, lighting seems to be our number 1 enemy! I'm still trying to figure what works best with my Celestron. On really shiny coins sunlight through a window and the light on the scope dimmed as far as possible seems to work the best for me but as the sun goes from one side of my house to the other the light is constantly changing which changes the outcome. It seems like a never ending battle! I have a small photo box that works great for smaller coins but with the 14" tube it does not fit into the box.mi can't remember the exact measurements of the box but I think it's around 9" X 9" X 12". I'm sure that I can modify it to make it taller so I can fit the scope with the long tube into it, I just haven't had the time.
Try to experiment with the sunlight and write down the times of the day that you achieve the best pics. That kind of sucks because you only have a small window of time for taking pics when it shouldn't make any difference. That is where the photo box helps. I purchased it on ebay for under $10 including shipping. It comes completely flat and you unfold it and snap it together. It also has a strip of LED lights but they are not adjustable. I've included a couple of pics of it with my old Carson microscope in it.

Yes, here is a link for the 16". This one will allow the Celestron with the 14" tube to fit inside of it without any modification.

Tootallious,
Why you want to fit whole camera in light box, if you need to shot only small coins?
You can try to made small ligthbox and it is free. Just cut bottom from white yogurt box and put box over the coin. You can light it from sides and inside surface give you luminosity. It works fine for my USB scope.

JustWalking,
If it is possible I would like to see a picture of your setup as I am trying to understand how you do this. Do you have to position the coin and focus it first then cover it?

Tootallious, that's what I mean
Adafruit-USB-Microscope-And-Stand

You can cut as you need

Put your coin according to your camera lens, put the box and then you can control lighting and setup focus.

JustWalking, what kind/type of camera is that? Ultimately I would love to have a nice DSLR camera but the prices are more than I paid for my first Harley!

Tootallious, I have several. Above is 8MP USB for the $80. Now I use $150 16MP USB+HDMI camera.
The stand separatelly cost about $80, but it is with very fine tuning up to 0,02mm precision.
It is not necessery for coin imaging if you no need field of view less than 1mm.
Also it's very flexible about optics. I can use any from microscope and enlarger lens to FF camera and industrial lens due to C-mount thread on cameras. Above is my experiment with two microscope lenses in line for $25 each.
You can see there some results

I have an old post here:
http://goccf.com/t/243488
That shows how to use the lens from a laser pointer and an iphone (an old 4S) to get amazingly closeup pics. Its fast, costs 1.00 for the laser pointer (about AA-battery diameter, not the smaller AAA_diameter ones), and you can see form the pics I posted that it has AMAZING magnification.

Here is as close as I can get on the letter "U" in TRUST on a 1964 DDO Half

The system can be improved upon, obviously.

I did make a stand for this. I used an iphone to tripod clamp that hold the iphone (and plastic with lens under it) by a spring loaded clamp.

I mounted the clamp horizontally to a small block of wood by using a bolt. The block of wood is raised and lowered by turning a bolt positioned above the block of wood (and attached to it).
