Quote: If it did you will still know it's not a Denver as long as you have this one. Haha! That's true. I find this Die Chip very satisfying to look at, since it's so unusual in size.

It is a nice huge one. Someday someone may very well post one with a larger chip and say it's too bad they'll never know where it was made. Then you can let them know. lol

It would be pretty funny! Then I would come to the rescue and tell them it was from the Philadelphia mint.

Looks like his neck bone is no longer connected to the shoulder bone.

TNG, I showed this one to my dad and he said it looks like Roosevelt has a "Turkey Neck". Pretty neat, it may be possible that the other one shown here http://goccf.com/t/312230#2652425could be a progression, your where the chip is getting larger. It would take some study, which I did not take the time to do. People do collect progression sets.

TNG, it could be a progression since it looks a lot like mine, but studying would be needed to be able to determine if it's the same Die Chip with a different progression. Definitely an interesting piece.

Think it is a progressive die chipping, but notice, pic on left has flow lines of VLDS...? Ahh, polished off, look at the bottom of bust, rough design is deteriorated device.

Crazyb0, good demonstration! I do see the die flow lines on the left picture, which means the die was at the very end of its life (VLDS). It's pretty cool to see Die Chips when they get bigger and bigger overtime when more coins are struck with the same die.

That's a nice catch, E&V! I will point out, though, that this is large enough to be considered an interior die break, not just a large die chip. CoC has just a few listed for Roosevelt dimes and this is the closest (and smaller than your example): Maybe worth a submission?

Oh, well that's good news if it's considered a Interior Die Break. It's good to know that it isn't listed on Cuds-On-Coins. I will send pictures to JC Stevens later to get it listed. :-)
