NewMember that's correct. Your coin was Struck Through Grease. Nice find.

Well I appreciate it. Am I correct in assuming these don't have any value above face?
Errers and Varietys, these are just some you enjoy collecting?
Rest in Peace

David, I think Newmembers coin is more PMD from a machine of some sort that has scraped it, look at the ring around and over LIBERTY. And also the extreme rubbing wear on the high points of hair and coat. This is like it was sanded in a circular motion...?hmmmm

It does appear to be more like PMD.

Others will weigh in on your question as well I'm sure, but I'm thinking that if the effect is isolated to a letter or two, then there is no numismatic premium. However, if broad regions of the devices are missing, then there are folks who are willing to pay a premium for these coins. I'm not aware of any definitive price guides, so you'd have to look on the sold prices for ebay auctions to get an idea.

Thank you everybody! NewMember, most of them don't have any value over face unless it's an extreme example. Your coin isn't Post Mint Damage. It's from the grease moving around in different spots.

Both seem to have been Struck Through Grease.

Though NewMember's 1992 P is pending the reverse struck up normal. If reverse shows weakness also then I'd confirm the coins weight. If weight is normal I might contemplate two causes. Thanks, Doug.

Here ya go. Errers and Varietys, my apologies if I hijacked, not my intent.

NewMember's coin seems to show some weakness on the reverse as well. New images have me curious about the rim and edge now. Is there any exposed zinc showing anywhere? Also check the edge for anything out of the ordinary. Thanks, Doug.

Adding either the image is slightly skewed or the coin is slightly out of round.

Does this help?
No, no exposed zinc at all. Aside from nothing out of the ordinary, seems fairly ordinary.
