11997755, been meaning to ask for more images of this coins edge if not to much inconvenience. If its been bagged and tagged no worries.
My goal is to see the edge of the subject coin in reference to a typical cent with consistent like toning, normal diameter and normal edge thickness. Either side by side or stacked.
Using the subject coins obverse side as a guide rotate or take straight on edge images at or about 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00. That should cover 360°. At the very least we might get to see the roller coaster effect on the subject coin.
Pending if I can get a consistent or close alignment to merge, I was thinking I might take a stab at creating an animated gif.
Again if its already safely tucked away, then let it be. Thanks, Doug.

I will get images tomorrow and post eveningish. Hope to have my new lighting set up by then. |

So my brain is inputing why the rim edge on the outside of the die would be broken.  Maybe collar contact during Machine Doubling damaged it? (Just thinking out loud) So is it damage to the collar or the die? (One question always leads to another)  Or a tilted die could have caused the rim Cud issue?  Edited by coop

Not sure if this is what you are asking for but here are the images. The file names show the rotation of the coin. The coin with the Cud is the top one in the images. Had to use my old lighting. Edit: I dont see file names on the images. 1st image is at the Cud2- Head is down 3- Opposite the Cud4-Head is up     Edited by 11997755

11997755, Added images are great. Sorry I've been to focused on them to let you know sooner. I was thinking I might see signs of something more than the obvious. At this time I see no conspicuous evidence to feed off of. If present, it is to subtle for my minds eye to detect. I'll admit I'm still a bit puzzeled, as I was thinking the trasitions would appear a bit more dramatic from this view, but it still is what it is, a nice example. If I read it right, the coin is face up and was turned left to right starting at or about 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 and 12:00. I'm going to play around with these images if you don't mind. Again thanks for the added angle. They will surely aid for future references as well. Thanks, Doug. Edited by Halo1st

The coin seems to be of normal thickness in only one quadrant. Seems that this would indicate a tilted die.(strictly an amateurs opinion)
