I don't know about grades but that 1812 is superb!

Agree that reverse of the 1812 is very cool and sucks you in. Its like an optical illusion. Nice ones.

There is no trace of the broad hair braid across the bust on the 1794, which is a defining characteristic of a Fine grade. This is choice for sure, but would not grade above VG-10.

Thank you, everybody, for your input.

The 1794 is a present for my eldest son on having passed the last major series of examinations on his way to becoming a doctor.

We are very proud of Daniel's achievement - the whole family sat in expectation during the 3 days which the examinations lasted!

I thought this cent, minted exactly 200 years before his birth year, would be a nice present for him, (he collect coins as well).
