GB, do you go to a large bank or one of those small branches? I never get this kinda luck!

Some tellers just hoard any old coins because they are odd. They don't bother to sell to a coin shop. If you look nice and she/he is in good mood, they will hand out to you. One time I called ahead, the teller said she had 2 rolls. When I arrived, she said that I accutally have 3 rolls, 2 in the vault, one in her drawer. The one roll in her drawer was pure uncirculated Franklins. That is my firt roll of Franklins!! Things like this happened to me 3 or 4 times. So whenever possible, I like to go roll-hunting on business trip after I finished my business work(and I am still in suits).

The girl had no idea what they were.. she saw a walking liberty obverse on the front of one of the rolls and handed it to me like it was a roll of dinged up bicentennials.
as far as what kind of branch it was a regions bank that is used by businesses and individuals. Not HUGE but not small either.

Is it just me, or does gettingbrowned seem to be one lucky guy the last few weeks? Just a couple of rolls and that much silver in it is amazing. I just hope that someone did not cash in the wrong rolls (upset wife/girlfriend) to get even with someone. I did a couple of rolls at the beginning of the year and felt really good finding 2 40% silver Kennedy's, I can not imagine how you felt finding this. Nice find and keep posting them as you get them.

penny pincher.. I felt like I was gonna have a nervous breakdown upon finding the rolls.. then called my roommate and my father.
speaking of luck..
this morning, my roommate won a pair of concert tickets on the radio and we decided we'd go for the free show
this afternoon I won another pair of tickets to the same concert. pretty crazy

gettingbrowned if you are 21 you better pack your bags and head for a casino somewhere and see if that luck remains, on second thought just go and get more rolls and show us the finds.

Awesome finds, my heart always beats a little faster when I open a roll and see a Walker, but to find all of those is amazing. It is an inspiration to all of us that silver can still be found in rolls!

you are right, mfhorn. living in alabama. I think its still rural enough here that there are still plenty of good finds to be had

Rural doesn't equal good finds.........I've put that to the test believe me ! Just as many "dump stations" to be found if not more because there are fewer banks for a huge area and more "silver hunters" per capita out there ! It just boils down to "luck" and "being in the right place at the right time".......IMHO
