Well you asked for us to be brutal , but you forgot about me . The coin to me looks slightly out of round , there's an awful lot of gunk on reverse that Verdi-Care might not totally remove . Who knows what's under that crap . Might even be starting to etch into coin ( a little corrosion ).And lastly the right side wreath has a lot of wear on it , making the coin look out of balance when looking at the reverse . IMHO you paid too much .

I agree, the verdigris is heavy, and you never know how much will come off, or what it will look like afterward. The right side of the wreath looks worn, or something.

This coin has suffered all of it's wear very early on in it's life. All wear on the high points have since completely patinated over, to match the rest of the coin.

It is suffering severe lack of design detail over a lot of the design (rev). I think that it due to the reverse die being filled with gunk, because the design is much more complete on the obverse side.

Verdigris doesn't help, but with a lot of patience, that situation could be improved.

My final call for this coin is VF-35 details scratched. Well, all the verdigris came off as it was the soft greasy type that a toothpick easily removes. No holes or pits noted which was one of my concerns. Hits? Yes by the "S" and "T" in "STATES" and a smaller hits near "OF". Also some hits on "ONE CENT". Right side of wreath was Struck Through Grease. The lighter areas on the reverse I believe were caused by the coin being shuffled around in a box with other coins. If it was wiped or cleaned a lot more of the verdigris would have came off IMO. Light areas will re-tone in time. Has a light woodgrain (woodie) look. I won't get hurt on this one $$ wise.
