I'm worried it might be caused by lighting as well, but I can't say for sure.

I get excited when I examine the images and come to my conclusion and it agrees with the consensus.

Bate;
Like shown in your first photo. The "C" has a split end On the upper curve. I have seen this many times through my microscope, but when viewed through an eyepiece I am usually not able to duplicate the split. I believe it is lighting. Put it under the microscope and move the light source around and see if it appears.

Dan. Thanks..That what they told me too and I did..even with a difference coins but only this coin show many notches.

What's happens now with Bate's awesome find? Who all does he contact to have it become a listed Doubled Die?

Chafemasterj, he would have to contact John A. Wexler and send it to him, so he'll list it. James Wiles from VV would probably kick it back and say that it's "too minor" to list.

Thanks guys....Too late..I already thrown it in a Bag of varieties coins where I keep all the coins I found.  ..Total about 200 plus coins. I am too lazy to go through again. When I am retire I will have some fun with these coins
