Plated or counterfeit coins like this can attract a magnet. Correct weight for a genuine steel cent is 2.7g.

Then it is probably a Chinese fake. Post more pics that are higher resolution. Also where did you get it? After that, you will need to let the others reply.

The first photo is the OP's coin. The second Photo is my copy of a Fake, Chinese copy Purchased from China. Notice the die markers ( actually Mold Marks ), they match perfectly. Especially the mark left of the N in CENT. Dan
