Not all 2013 $1 New York star notes were duplicated.

Unfortunately, your note serial number is NOT one of the serial numbers duplicated. Because of condition, I see no additional value above face value for your note. There's many available in uncirculated condition to meet collectors demand.

A pair of matching serial numbered 2013 $1 star notes have recently been found. One was printed in Washington DC and one in Fort Worth.

Hello Steve In Tampa,
You seem to be the Expert here, I really find the article you posted extremely interesting, and it got me thinking about how to try and find matching star notes. It apparently took a lot of searching to find that pair.
What do you think about starting a separate topic/thread dedicated to posting everyone's found 2013 star note serial numbers with the hope of the thousands of CCF members working together we might be able to make another match?
Maybe you could teach us exactly which markers we're looking for, as I'm still a little confused. Things like it must be a New York 2013 Star, or it must have both the J5 and FW, or whatever.
I have a couple hundred star notes I could search, and I'm betting amongst the thousands of other CCF members they probably have thousands more.
If you can give us the proper indicators to look for so we only post serial numbers of the correct possibles, we might be able to build a good database for comparison. Who knows, we might find a second match.
What do you think?

So when you say Ed has a master list of SN found to date, is there a list of known doubled serial numbers, and their trying to find them in circulation?

I've been in contact now with Ed and Karol, they've been giving me some great information.

Last night I went thru about 150 of my 2013 Star notes and found 9 that fall within the possible duplicates SNs.

I did find one on his list that was from Washington and mine was from Fort Worth.
The SN matched perfectly except the last number, one ended in a 9, the other ended in an 8

Sooooooo close.

I'm hooked on finding a match pair!
