to CCF. Please post some photos of them. Some background info would be interesting also. If there is a letter that came with it,keep it together with the notes and post a pic of it. John1

CFU is the standard top grading for Australian Notes.
A bit like the French FDC* for coins, the official top grading for French proof coins.
*FDC = Fleur de Coin, = PF70 Sheldon. FDC is also a commonly seen grading in Australian numismatic public auction catalogs.
Not exactly a 'creep in', has been around for as long as I can remember in Britain, Europe and Australia.

Yeah, $1 notes.
I misread it originally and went with $100's....my bad.
Packs of these notes surface occasionally and typically sell for right around $200, give or take depending on centering and serial numbers.

Steve nails it with his $200 estimate. Well over 600 million originally issued from this district. Just a keepsake with little growth potential. Which is fine.

Very cool and price is not important here.. I would get a shadow box frame and keep them in there. The provenance is priceless..

I've definitely learned the beauty of the bills and the story behind them give them more value then we can sell them for :) Put them in a safe place in your home and enjoy the memories!!
I was gifted several bills, they have no value above face but the stories and the memories make them more valuable to me.

I agree 100% with the sediment, and guess many collectors, including myself have notes given to us from loved ones, relatives or friends that holds a place close to our heart that has value that seems priceless to us. The value lies in the memories and attached stories.
