1974
E22995901E - E22996000E

They came bound together as a retirement gift from the Bureau of Engraving to my grandfather if that matters. Not that I'd ever sell or spend them, just wondering if it's an interesting bundle of bills. Thanks all!

definitely would have some premium as a $100 brick, with all notes in mint fresh CFU*.

Wow, $10K in consecutive $100's is both unusual and interesting. What did your grandfather do at the BEP ?

Personally, I would keep them together.

When did Crisp-Flat-Uncirculated sneak into the numismatic vernacular ?

to CCF. Please post some photos of them. Some background info would be interesting also. If there is a letter that came with it,keep it together with the notes and post a pic of it.

CFU is the standard top grading for Australian Notes.

A bit like the French FDC* for coins, the official top grading for French proof coins.

*FDC = Fleur de Coin, = PF70 Sheldon.
FDC is also a commonly seen grading in Australian numismatic public auction catalogs.

Not exactly a 'creep in', has been around for as long as I can remember in Britain, Europe and Australia.

A bit different than what I'm used to, but interesting.

Yeah, $1 notes.

I misread it originally and went with $100's....my bad.

Packs of these notes surface occasionally and typically sell for right around $200, give or take depending on centering and serial numbers.

Well then I guess the value is irrelevant.

Steve nails it with his $200 estimate. Well over 600 million originally issued from this district. Just a keepsake with little growth potential. Which is fine.

Very cool and price is not important here.. I would get a shadow box frame and keep them in there. The provenance is priceless..
