Appreciate the knowledge. I'll have to do some research on how not to compromise my photos by getting them under the 300 limit. I'll repost in the areas you talked about later. Thanks!

Natural light or use a coffee filter on your light source will help the picture.

Here's my try at a few better pics of the areas you mentioned. When I magnify I definitely see something under a few of the letters, especially the C in America. At least I think I do.

Looks like there's something going on with liberty on the front of the coin too

It's common in the early Buffalo years to have weak LIBERTY's . It's not an error or wear .

Thanks for posting the detail photos. I'm still not sure on whether your coin is 1913 DDR-002 (FS-1802).

There appears to be the correct doubling on the buffalo's neck. There is a die crack from the second "S" of STATES through the dots and "OF" to the A" of AMERICA. That isn't a reliable marker, because it is a common area for die cracks. There appears to be the correct doubling on EPU, but the image just isn't sharp enough to be sure. (I enlarged and enhanced your photos below.)

If it is the FS-1802 DDR, there is a good bump in value. That's a popular and difficult DDR to locate. It's easier to spot in later die states and on circulated coins, because the later die states have more prominent cracking through STATES OF AMERICA and because there is less reflectivity from the surface.

On the grade, the new photos resolve some of my concerns about luster disruption. I'm convinced this was a bookshelf album coin, and picked up some subtle scuffs from the mylar sleeve brushing against the coin. I think you have a solid high midrange UNC (64+/65), with MS-66 possible. The reverse is fantastic.

I'd definitely recommend taking your coin to your local coin shop and asking the owner to put it under a microscope and compare it to the photos on Variety Vista. I think it's at least 50-50 on the DDR. That would be well worth your time. If it is DDR-002 (FS-1802), you really have something there.

Here are the details of the enhanced photos you posted:

Appreciate you taking the time to look at the coin. What is Variety Vista, can I get on the site, and what exactly would you be looking at/for? If it is the DDR coin do I send it somewhere to get graded and confirmation on the doubling?

I had a scope for my phone but I honestly can't tell after comparing.

I went to Variety Vista to compare my pictures with all 1913 DDRs and it looks to be almost identical to this variety. How would it affect the value if confirmed?
