MS64 for me, technically not full steps.

I'd call this a MS64-MS64+, no FS, but I do think ANACS will give it a 65-65+.

MS-64+ I'd say, not full steps, but very close.

with MS-64+. I think the reverse pulls it down from MS-65, although ANACS might give it a 65. I like it! Let us know the submission results.

I'd say MS-65, 5 steps for ANACS. Very nice!

Nice photography. Hard to do.
I think they'll give you Full Steps. For those who count 5FS vs 6FS, I'd give it 5FS.

Spruuuuuu My last two submissions to ANACS of nickels were about 10 Buffalo nickels and 10 Jefferson. I found they were tough on the Buffs and generous on Jeffersons. In other words, I strongly disagreed with the Buffalo grades and happily accepted the Jefferson results. LOL

Quote: Nice photography. Hard to do. Thanks, Mike. You probably wouldn't believe how not advanced my photo setup is. Quote: I found they were tough on the Buffs and generous on Jeffersons. Sounds good to me! The other Jefferson I sent in is a '58 Black Beauty. I don't know what grade it'll make, but all I really want out of it is a slabbed & attributed MS BB, and I think I'll get that.

Quote: I found they were tough on the Buffs Ohhhhhhhhh boyyyyy do I feel that one lol. I had sent in a nearly full horn 1935 DDR FS-801 a few months ago. Solid strike, nice grade, no worse than a VF-35 on a bad day. I had put it on CCF and the consensus was around the high VF to low EF range. It came back VF-20.... 20.....Yeah I'm not sure. A buddy of mine who I know IRL is extremely tough on Buffalo nickels, more than anyone I know. When I showed him the coin I had put a sticky note over the grade and asked him what he thought. He said "Eh probably around a 35 or so. The obverse shows a bit more wear, and has a lighter strike. I'd give it a VF-30 or 35 but ANACS probably called it a EF-40." When he took off the sticky he just started laughing. His response was "You got [fill in the blank] over."

Just for the heck of it call ANACS and tell them all of this and see what they have to say. John1

The results are in! I pretty much agree with the numerical grade, but the steps took me by surprise. To be honest, I believe my photo makes the hit on the steps look worse than it does in hand. Overall, my first TPG submission was a pleasant success.

Good for you on the steps designation. I just noticed Crazyb0 in your signature. He was very kind to me. Sad to see.
