Deep, deep rims make me think it could be a heavy Grease Filled Die strike, but lets see what the others say.

New pics are rotated 90°, but otherwise fine. Looks like a grease-filled die to me.

So what would be a value for this. This is my first error. Not wanting to sell but just to know. 10$ 5$ 20$. ?

The reverse was struck through "grease". It also shows a "greasy ghost" of Washington's bust. Grease of the right consistency and viscosity tends to flow toward areas of lower effective striking pressure, one of which is the area opposite Washington's bust. The raised grease deposit on the die face leaves a vaguely bust-shaped depression in the coin.

Value (to a collector)? Perhaps $.50-$2. Of course, all depends on what someone would be willing to pay.

Some may think it is a weak strike, but it is not. As mentioned the full rims tells us that it is a Struck Through Grease error.

Would one of the pros please show and explain the difference between this Greaser and a capped die?
As to value,I can see it selling for around $5,try checking ebay sold values to see if a similar one has sold. I would give it a quick 100% acetone dip and put it in an Air-Tite capsule.

Thank you everybody for the reply's and the answers. I'm going to keep it and like you said John clean it off with some acetone and seal it up. I understand the difference between the two. I work in an automotive supplier plant as an electromechanical maintenance man and we use steel stamping and sometimes slug or scrap gets stuck in the die or on punches and deforms. Would either cup it out or deform the shape of the part as in a capped coin. Or in the case of a grease one like mine. Would not allow the part to form right in the die.

Note the rim on the capped die coins:

Note the rim? It makes it look like a saucer. Because the cap is on the die, the normal rim isn't allowed to form on these coins? What die a die cap look like?
