Thank you everyone. John, these pics are taken with a loop and my phone camera lens. Not sure if I can get much better pics then this, with my current equipment. Anything you would recommend?

I'll try to pick one up tonight. I did see one in our local hobby shop. What do you think of the Dino-Lite scopes? Are they worth the buy? I've seen some around 100 online. I may invest in one of those. I'm looking to seriously start learning error coins. Thanks!

And get multiple thin boxes to set your phone on to stop the shakes. Multiple ones to get the correct distance away from the coin. Even some small stackable items to place under the coin. Thas will be important as well for closeup images.
Full coin shots will be about 3" and closeups will be about 1" of separation. Enlarge the viewing area as needed if your phone has that capapbility.

And remember that light will reflect off the boxes if they are white or shiny and that light may be detrimental to good images, by adding glare.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Dinos are nice but a bit pricey. Get one that goes from 0-150x power. I have a $60 Celestron and a $20 Dino.

I'm still at counterfeit. Adding to my above comments, rim is also off. Those devices are way to mushy, especially considering how little wear is shown on the rim.

Adding more pictures doesn't change the fact that it's a counterfeit.

Looks just like the Chinese fake I bought back years ago when the company "Big Tree" was selling fakes on ebay that were auctioned as SUPPOSEDLY saying "COPY" on them. None of my fakes had that word on them.

And sorry, no pics. I could not even tell you where it is right now b/c things are packed. I bought mine to study so I could tell fakes. The porous nature of your coin, rim, and (as mentioned) design element differences are a dead give away.

I also made some posts back then helping others see the fakes (1932 D quarter, 1879 Morgan, and others) by showing the porosity etc.
