TPGs will not voluntarily attribute varieties unless it has been requested and paid for in advance, but there have been occasions where it's been a major new discovery and the TPG has notified the owner. Yea ch. He sells a lot of varieties. The reason I say that is your con has the same strike through or die damage that batts and mine have. It may be a new die state. I honestly think my coin is a 66 as well but I think they saw the area around LIBERTY and dropped it two grades  Edited by Willburton

It's interesting how a lot of the higher graded FS-101s exhibit the same markers. Your coin does look to be a higher grade than the slab says. It is possible the flaws lowered the grade, but In any case, you own a beautiful example!

Huge Congrats on the cherry pick ! Something must have been struck to the die for a while to give these coins such similar strike throughs. My raw example has similar die stage die scratches but none of the strike throughs.  |

Thanks stoneman227! Something really had to be stuck to the die to produce this many similar strikes, your right. The areas on the reverse that look like scuff marks/damage are actually some more strike throughs. That's a fine example you got there! The die scratches are very prominent on most examples graded AU and up. Most of the FS-101s I've seen have them.
