I would add as a very hard to find circulating coin is the 2016 5 cent changeover coin. Only 4.8 million minted and I have never seen one in circulation. Someone must be hoarding them. This one is a lot rarer than the 1972.

Thanks for the list. I better hang on to my 2016 5c and $1 coins then, and the indigenous languages 50c. Might be worth something later.

that is one very nice haul. A great range of many mint set only coins, too.
Is the 1993 50c the scarce " fatter " 1993 date one ?

Agree on the 1985 10c - I've only ever found three - all very used. I've found a few 2016 anniversary 5c pieces but only one of the anniversary dollars (which I think are the lowest mintage of the 2016 anniversary coins).

I have to come clean and got confused with my coins, my 1972 5 cent is only VF and cloudy. The rest I agree with, those $2 coins are hard work. I still yearn for a 2013 Coronation one and know this is a $100 plus purchase at the moment.
I have spent less on UNC Florins of the early 1940s!

Mike I decided to check mine and found that I have about 50 of the 5 cent changeovers but only ONE platypus 2016 5 cent coin.

I'm under the impression that the changeover is 2016, not 2018. There was only one normal type issued in 2018. The transition happened in 2019.
2018 10 cents mintage is rather low at 3.1 million.

2019 JC Fifty Cents COA are being offered on ebay, typical price around $60. Seems to confirm my earlier post: mintage combined 2018-2019 and 2019-20 total is 70,000 pieces. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: Some dealers report that 5000 roll sets of 2019 dated JC coins have been produced. The 50 Cents roll contains 20 coins. That's a total of 100,000 2019 dated 50 Cents coins. I do not know if the 70,000 total mintage in the combined Mint Reports is included in the 100,000 50 Cent coins produced for the mint rolls.

I've written this all before, but it's a case of " take it with a grain of salt " when reading and relying on the RAM's annual coin mintage site.
Interesting that so far the 2019 JC 50c rolls listed for sale are all RAM rolls and I'll be surprised if any 2019 JC 50c security company rolls ever appear. I could be wrong.
I'm of the mind that both the 2020 JC 50c and $1 MoR's could be/will be either only available in a limited number of RAM rolls ( maybe ? ) and/or, more likely, mint set only.
I think we'll find out by the end of December.
