Even with the dull grey pics it looks to be the nicest coin you've posted tonight but really can't put an exact grade on it. Lower AU?

Reminds me of an old "negative" when pictures were actually "developed". I can almost smell the chemicals in the dark room when looking at this image.
Details appear AU+. Other than that it's a guessing game.

NS's purchases from bad pics have mystified me for years, and continue to do so. I've long expected that the quality of images he bases his purchases on would gradually improve, but they haven't. If anything, they're getting worse.  |

Also, to extend what Coinfrog just said... I've been confounded by discovering I unintentionally have bought a number of cleaned coins over the years. Sometimes I bought from a reputable dealer via mail and okay photos and sometimes while seeing them in hand. If you're buying from really bad photos, I can't imagine how good the odds are that you'll pick up problem coins and ones that might not be that simple to detect without a really good inspection (as I've unfortunately discovered).

Just based solely on the pics...Good rims....intact complete defined denticles...I guess you could surmise AU55?
Maybe the question/concern is paying retail for an ungraded coin?
Maybe we've become a custom to your homeruns?
You've been around for a while...I'm sure you're buying coins that have the safe guard of a return policy.

although the photos are pathetic and cant really narrow down an exact grade I'm at high AU details. the surfaces do not look original based on them

Pics are a bit cloudy, primarily obverse. Can't make out the obverse fields. Are those hairlines? Tentative MS63

If the luster is there then MS64 sounds reasonable. The seller really gave it away with poor images, it's worth at least $1,000+ more than the price paid. A $2,500 coin if it pulled in a 65.
