One-and-a-half of the markers look correct. EPU has a separation from the back. It seems likely that the right tip of the beard is lower. The other markers simply cannot be seen in the photos.

The price is spot on for a low VF coin, but I can't get any feel for the grade from these pics.

I'll say EF-40 sharpness, but this is not a primo example.

This came in. Looks like it's real to me. Thoughts on grade and authenticity? Thanks!

All the die markers are there. You pulled this one off, nice snag. I'll stay at XF-40.

I could make a case for either 35 or 40, but overall the streaky planchet, dark s[pots and blotchy surfaces evident in the first set of pics detract a great deal for me.

All the markers are spot on. Great buy. You snagged this at VF-20 pricing, so there isn't any downside. Very well done!

The grade is not the issue here, but rather the below-average eye appeal.

MDS obverse, LMDS reverse. No individually significant contact marks. Nothing of concern for detailing the coin. IMHO, there is just enough detail to sneak across EF-40.

My pause is whether a TPG might eye appeal drop-grade it to VF-35. This might be one to leave raw. On a bourse floor, it would run EF-40. It might be best to let the next owner TPG it and run the drop-grade risk. You are solidly $100-ish to the good here.

You've done very well with your six-legged buffalo pair.
