Ok for educational purposes. Will someone please explain how Die Deterioration or wear. I'm not seeing the signs for that. I dont recall seeing MD all the way around the letter or number. Usually just one or two sides that I notice. I was sure I had this one. I even researched this on error coin reference and man I thought I had this one. I need a drink.

@MOS0239 do you sell on ebay. If so give me the link please.
Coin does not have the flow lines from DDD. The date looks like when you icing between two cookies. Not arguing at all. Those sure want the relies I was expecting though.

No, sorry I don't.

Besides, I don't want to sell them to you, I wanted to give them to you.

@John1 well I'll be damned. See what can be accomplished sitting down and eating some popcorn. Thanks for the new bookmark. I do apologize if I offended anyone by questioning your opinions I asked for. I know you look at just pictures and not the coin in person in which I guess that may cause questioning of your replies. I thank you all for your time and patience with me. Wish I could buy yall a beer...

I really do appreciate that. But we "all" contribute when a member posts a question.

Note the shape of the date digits. We see strong circulation wear on the devices, with Machine Doubling. Note how it is rough looking? When compared with a a lower mintage die, then you don't see the distortion that you see on your coin, on the earlier die state coin.

On the one listing for that year/mint for a DDO, only certain devices are affected:

To match to a certain die, all the hub doubling much exactly match. Machine Doubling is not a doubled die.

Also, remember that Die Deterioration can take many forms. Die Deterioration is the result of older well-used dies.

Die flow lines are one thing to look for but may not be visible if the dies have been polished or on well-circulated coins.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
