Great DDO! And your removal effort seems to be paying off as it looks a lot better.

Incredible find, Levels! Hope to find one of the 1972 DDOs coin roll hunting one day. I have a bunch in uncirculated condition that my dad pulled back when they were minted when he was a kid.

Looking a lot better. Seems some of the white is still there. As long as you don;t let acetone evaporate in the coin, its safe to keep it in there. Just saying if it were mine I would put it in linger to see if the white all comes off of it. If not this, then Xylene next.
Also, just what I do, put it in a covered container. I use a baby food jar with lid. That way the acetone won't evaporate.

Oh yeah, That acetone can do wonders, when used properly, with ventilation. It cleaned up nice.
Great score.

Note the 'T' on each die on this image? Then compare it to the OP's coin.

Here is a marker for 007 on 'WE'. Note the locations of the top of the 'L' between the 002 and 007? I'm learning more toward 1972 DDO-007. Take another look at the areas I mentioned.
