Your coin was squeezed in a vice. It came from the diamond pattern from the vice's jaws.

Probably done when it was only worth a Quarter back in the 40'50's & early 60's

Me & some neighborhood kids set the woods on fire behind mom & dads house back in the early 70's burned about 3 acres before the fire dept got there. Got in a little trouble for that
