First, We will need pictures of the reverse, as well, to estimate a grade. The obverse suggests a grade in the VG-F ballpark, but the coin has been polished heavily. NGC likely would grade it either "VG Details - Burnished" or "F Details - Burnished."

I will work on more pictures tomorrow.. Being my first post the pictures I took were way to large and I know for sure it has not been cleaned unless it was before 1988.. I sure hope it wasn't cleaned that would be a bummer.. Thanks for the information though it's much appreciated.. Again better pictures of both sides tomorrow and lots more interesting posts to come..

Remove coin from 2x2 before taking pics. It is not a FH and it looks polished. It does have silver value as well as sentimental value I'm sure. John1

To CCF , Not to burst your bubble but this coin has been polished and not full head . With out looking at the reverse ,the only thing it has going for itself is a crisp sharp date .

Unless bigger pics prove otherwise, in that small pic it looks like it's been polished to within an inch of it's life. Looks like all the high points are smooth.

reverse photo is probably not needed as the grade is pretty much irrelevant on this piece. its been polished to death based on this photo

OK thanks for bearing with me while I get these pictures right and for all the info once again.. I suppose this one would probably not be worth slabbing? !!

to CCF! Looks like F details due to polishing/cleaning. Not a candidate for slabbing since it's not much more than silver melt value.

Unfortunately someone pretty much destroyed that coin.

I'll say VG/F details (polished, perhaps even plated).

Quote: I'll say VG/F details (polished, perhaps even plated). @Coinfrog, I hadn't thought about plating, but that very well could be the case. A shot of the edge would tell the tale.

F-15 details, polished. Not worth slabbing.
