mcshilling, there is a bare belly for 1998 and the OP has it, it is the result of an over polished die same as the 1990.

Yes it can be either 1990 or 1998. So just to be clear this is not a bare belly?

coinman91, your coin IS the bare belly version for 1998 but it is an earlier die state.

Oh that's awesome!! Does the later dies then correct the bare belly? Just curious now and love learning as well!

coinman91, for an early die state it is less severe and obvious then what a later die state would be.

For example, the 1990 bare belly had a couple of versions, half belly, partial belly, full bare belly due to the Reverse die being polished more and more making the area dissapear. So yours is not a Full bare belly but it is still a bare belly, just not completely missing. When I have a moment to do so I will post a photo of what the 1998 full bare belly looks like so you can use it for future reference.

Still a nice find as they are not that easy to come by in any die state (early or late).

I appreciate the photo Silviosi! It's a great bare belly for 1990 that I still have yet to find as well! The photo I am looking for however is for the 1998 bare belly and the various die stages of that.

I hope will be to your satisfaction. Me I do not see big difference between. Maybe others yes, but not me. I hope you will be lucky. Me I do not have the 1998, maybe one day.

Ahh thank you much appreciated! You are right though I don't see much of a difference between the one I found and the picture you provided. I will continue the search for more though especially for that 1990.

Sorry not to answer fast, your 98' is more close to 90' then 98. Is not far but not 98. Anyways, could be find, but was not really in big quantities. How many? no one can say approx.. If you find one I am looking for.
