I think 63 is fair, but it's nice for a 63, you usually see a lot more chatter. deserves a plus IMO

Obverse MS-63, reverse solid MS-64, net MS-63+ Your coin doesn't have the usual dull gray color of most 1897 Morgans. It's a nice one for the grade.

the 97(P) are sharp and bold so this one fits in the average strike box. just a little weak around the ear. luster looks good and I'm not seeing any breaks. the hits on the cheek and neck are the determent here with both eye appeal and surface preservation. I have it in the MS63 box

generally sharp this year, this one is just a tad weak around the ear. reverse could come in at 64 but the obverse scuffs and marks are going to hold this one to MS63 so I think its accurately graded. not sure how I missed this one in March. i'd say price wise you got a decent deal.
