@ash, first welcome to CCF. Second, if that is the extent of it, then probably no premium for this coin. Can you please add in overall pics of the front and back of this coin to this thread? Thx.

Yes, full and sharp photos of the entire coin--obverse and reverse--would be welcome. This would help establish the context for what we're looking at. May even see something else interesting. Thanks.

Indeed....from the pic supplied it may just could be a dribble of solder? (but of course it is not!)

I really appreciate the replies from everyone, I'll do my best to add some better images that show the whole coin. It's just that with the file size limit it's harder to get anything more than the posted picture

Hello All!

So not only did I find a cracked one similarto these, but also one cracked to the edge! I tried to get decent pics... you can feel the cracks with your finger!

@ench, first welcome to CCF. Second, normally best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin. However, in this case since it is the same mint and date, I'll leave your post added to this thread. We sometimes call these "spike heads" when the die crack goes to the edge.

Enchantra,
Nice find. There also seems to be a nice die chip by his mouth.

Not sure about other spike heads on 2021 dimes. However, since we are sticklers for good titles, you should be able to do a search with keywords such as 2021 DIME SPIKE and see what has been posted so far. It may be a tad early to see too much with this year's date, so be sure to pop back in occasionally.

I'd call this one a die crack and a die chip. It has to loose more die material to be a RIDB.
