Draped. bust coins—any denomination. The fact that 57% of respondents checked "other IMO reflects the collecting perspective of the OP and nothing more.

Quote: The fact that 57% of respondents checked "other IMO reflects the collecting perspective of the OP and nothing more. I have to agree. I enjoy this thread and the conversation that has come with it, but that poll wasn't of much use, I'd argue it better encompassed some popularly collected coins, not coins hailed for their beauty

I see that the Eisenhower dollar has only one vote. Voting with the"other" majority, for me it's a toss-up between a well-struck 1921 Peace dollar and the 1794/1795 flowing hair dollar/half/half dime. Sorry about the cleaning, but it's the best I could afford.

I picked Eisenhower dollar in honor of Michael Collins. I didn't realize until yesterday that the reverse was based on his design for the Apollo 11 mission patch. The obverse I can take or leave (sorry jbuck), it's just another giant head.

Standing Liberty Quarter!
Years ago I had just two - 1917 Type 1 and 1917 Type 2. When I showed this pair of coins to friends and relatives, I would refer to the women as twins, one flirtatious and slutty, and the other twin, prudish.

Nothing to be ashamed of posting a pic of early dollars and other early denominations even if they are "Details" coins. I wish I could afford one!
