Dearborn... unrelated photo tip...

You are using Windows 10... try using [WIN] [SHIFT] [S] to get a screen capture instead of taking photos of your screen. It will be much easier for us to see.

I've had this happen when I add something to the cart, but then don't buy it. Adding it to the cart does not oblige you to purchase, so ebay starts sending you encouragement to complete the purchase. I think if you delete the item from the cart, they'll stop bugging you.

This happened to me once too. I just ignored it and someone else bought it.

ignoring it is easy, getting their messages is annoying, and Now, I feel like I walked into a used car lot and getting bombarded by sales persons.

I've got 16 items in my cart (some for years now)
and 175+ items on my watch list (some sold/ended items for quick reference on prices) and have never received a message like that from ebay....Maybe they know your an impulse buyer....

LOL maybe.

But I have been an ebay buyer for well over 15 years now, and this week is the first time I got these..

Is it things to come? A peek into the future of ebay?

when it is in your cart, they do try to get you to finish the deal, but solely on your watch list, I only get reminded when the item, is going to renew..

I haven't noticed it happening lately (a lot of ebay emails go to my spam folder ) but I do recall getting messages like that regarding items I simply viewed. I had never "watched" them or had them in my cart. They can be a little pushy sometimes, but not any worse than anyplace else in my opinion.

I never put them in my cart at all. when I shop for coins, I search out many of the same coin and place them in my watch list, then I can narrow down which one I want to buy. Or if the one I want is an auction, I'll also look for a coin that closely matches the one I want. Then IF the bidding goes over the price of the other coin, I'll move on and buy the seconsd coin at the lesser price. I'll only have a purchase in my cart for only a few minutes then pay for it. I don't hold them in the cart At all.

My method of buying is search, find, watch list, search find, watch list, then compare the 2 then cart, commit to buy, then pay. done. It's really not that hard.

I get at least one email a day about a watched item, usually to remind me it is about to end or that the seller is accepting offers. I have plenty of watched items, so it makes sense. However, I have never received a "complete your purchase" email like Dearborn.

Do you look at ebay on your phone? I use my phone for ebay research when I'm away from my computer. I've "bought" several items (some I looked at & some I didn't) when I put the phone back in my pocket without closing the app.

I will look for items on my phone, but I never use the phone to buy any items - I use the computer for that. as for app on my phone, I'm nutz about open apps, I close them every time I'm finished with them.
