added: you can purchase pure acetone at your local hardware store.

Beside it would probably sell better with that stuff on it and I won't say anything if you won't

You say you get two or three of these a week so this is a pretty rare coin then?

They are probably created by the same people who post them. Trying to create errors that aren't really there isn't very nice. People who are knowingly disingenuous by misrepresenting coin errors are committing fraud on the community.  Edited by merclover

I agree with Merc, honesty and education is the way to go. This hobby and this community can be a fun place beneficial for everyone, but we all have to play nice in the sandbox.

ebay and Etsy are loaded with some combination of fraudsters and morons trying to pass coins like this for big bucks. You're never going to sell it, but you're doing the collecting community a disservice by adding to the barrage of misinformation. Don't even bother with acetone on this one; it's good advice for collectible coins, but this is a circulated 1994-P nickel. On another note, let's keep away from politics. I made that mistake a few years ago and regretted it.
