Thanks coop. I have a few of these to be graded but this isn't one of them. Bought this because of the eye appeal and price. It may be artificial but it looks great to me

I'm still working on my photography. I took these in natural light

@RW1010 The quarter in a few years will be a superb toning coin. (last photo the best) We can see the formation of the spectrum.

PS.: I do not suggest you to use anymore those gloves. Those has latex and powder which can affect the coins in the 50% or more humidity. Employ those blue free of powder and latex.

An update on this topic. Here's what I believe to be another improperly annealed W quarter. Whenever I see the grain of the strip being revealed on a struck coin that implies it has been improperly annealed. I read that somewhere but can't find it right now. This error has a certain look most of the time but not all are the same. I had one graded and it confirmed my suspicions. Not super rare or valuable but a little more clarity on this type of error

Very Nice, and having a confirmed example in hand certainly gives you a leg-up on
identifying any future possible annealing errors.

Thanks Tacc. I have a lot of these now that I can identify the error most of the time. I even found an all blue one and an all red one

Excellent! I really like the Tallgrass Prairie example, too. Probably worth grading, too, perhaps?

Note: The Tallgrass Prairie quarter being a W mint mark and the Privy 75 version
and possible annealing error coin, has alot going for it value wise, I would think.

It's a minor error that starts at around $25 to maybe a few hundred at the most depending on how dramatic the error is. W errors were a few hundred for the minor errors but that was when they first started circulating. Not many errors on the Ws and I have not seen any like this yet. Unfortunately I won't be retiring early from this coin. I would think maybe 100 or 2 which is still good money. I could be wrong but in the end it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it
