I think there should be an option for none of the above, because I never have (and probably never will) invest in bullion.

Most of my gold is in 1oz. AGE and Double Eagles. Silver would be ASE, Maple Leafs, and Morgan/Peace Dollars. 95% of my "bullion" came from a U.S. Mint in the form of legal tender coinage.

Silver is much more interesting to me than gold. Gold's fine, but even in jewelry etc, I still like silver better. And yeah, it's nice that it's so much cheaper ;D

Quote: I'd rather have 100 different beautiful 1oz commemoratives instead of 1 gold 1oz comm And I'd rather have 100 cheap base-metal foreign coins than one 1oz silver bullion "coin". Conversely, I'd rather have one ancient Roman denarius, whose numismatic and historic value is far higher than the paltry amount of silver it contains, than ten silver 1oz bullion coins.

looks like 1oz silver coins should have a good future.
A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to buy a 100oz bar, but I declined and bought 1oz coins. I figured that 1oz Royal Canadian Minted Silver coins would be much easier to sell in the future, anywhere in the world.

I prefer gold over silver, but lately, silver is within my budget.

My gold is mostly in classic pre-1933 coins, with some AGEs and Credit Suisse bars. Silver is mostly SAEs, Maples and a few 10 oz bars. Just 1 small platinum coin left.
