There are many telltale problems here. Google "1794 Dollar - Images" and compare, for example, the shape of the 9 in the date.

This coin is porous, giving that cast look. Has Chinese fake written all over it. At least it isn't a reeded edge.

Went to a coin shop after work

Which has been in bussiness for over 40 years (what he said)

He said that is a very good counterfeit
And when testing the metal. If had gold copper zinc and a few other metals in it

Ya learn something new everyday but thank you guys for the info

And for all the people saying fake I wish you guys would explain why as I am a newbie when it comes to coins so I can atleast learn why it is

The lettering (1794) and berrys on the reverse look off. Another thing I saw is the color looks wrong but I am not sure about that color.

Some people are reluctant to give a lot of detail because they feel that it helps the counterfeiters. I personally feel that the fakers are lazy and cheap, and if they can sell these for $2 and make money, why put a lot of effort into improving it? That said, the first red flag for me is that this is a half-million dollar coin in the condition it purports to be in. Heritage auction archives are a great resource and you only need a free login to access their larger images. Compare them side by side and look at specific small details, and not just the fact that it has the same letters, numbers, and portrait. I could probably circle and list 20 things wrong with your coin, but you should train your eye to see them for yourself. Look at the hair and ear detail, the bottoms of T and Y, the specific shapes and positions of each number in the date, etc.

It's a matter of experience. The longer you are engaged in numismatics, the more different coins you see, and sometimes you do not even need to pick it up to determine a fake. It's all about experience. Experience helps us to avoid fakes when buying

Seeing them side by side makes ops look so fake. Look at the stars.
