Wondering what y'all thought about this they are asking $149. Wondering what the w means on the label. Thanks

$150 is a fair price. The W on the label stands for white, meaning the coin is untoned.

I think it deserves "CAMEO" designation on the label. Great coin!

The way I see it is if PCGS or NGC says a coin is a 63, then it's a 63 regardless of what you or some folks here might think.

Mmmm, it's really close, but I think the reverse is ever so too weak for Cameo, a yeah I'd be in agreement with that, but I don't think I could say cameo.

with Grape, there is not enough contrast on the reverse to go full cameo on this coin, it's close though. One of the better 1955 Franklin proofs I've seen too! The 1958 and 1959 seem to be the toughest in Cameo or Deep/Ultra Cameo 1955 is still tough.

I remember going through a small horde of 500+ different sealed proof sets from 1950 1963 and finding almost no CAMs or DCAMs. This was around 1995 at a dealer I worked with, he had purchased them from an estate and we were the first to open them, we thought we would be rolling in them, to our surprise I don't think we even got a full PCGS box of CAM Franklins back.

Ouch, that's rough. 50, 58 and 59 are by far the toughest. We recently sold a NGC PR69UCAM CAC 1956 T2 at Bonanza and that was a really nice coin.

Nice looking example! Fair price as well, not a steal, but fair.

Agreed with the other about just being shy of CAM. The glare on the obverse may also be exaggerating the appearance of the CAM as well.

Real nice ; The contrast is there , if those fields were void of all those white specks and and a nice clear dark field was present the coin would virtually be a cameo or better .

In Memory of Butch L.
and Jim U. rest in peace .

Very nice, seems worth the asking price for a nice coin.
