How often do you find any?
I would think it would be easier to search them since they are larger than dimes and come in the same clear plastic wrappers. I am just not sure there is many left in circulation.

I've tried a few times with no luck. I've found silver in halves, dimes and nickels only.

I just did a box to upgrade some of my washingtons... found some nice older coins, but no silver.

I'm still trying to find halves. Went to 4 different banks today. They all said no halves unless the tellers are saving them for friends and family.

I have never found a silver quarter buying rolls. And I've been buying them off and on for about five years now.

I'd say its pretty hard to find a silver quarter even though the five silver Washington quarters I have where all found in circulation. Two of them where found on two seperate occasions and the other three were stumbled upon all together. Halves are the easiest to find silver in because they don't really circulate. Nickels are harder but its likely your going to find at least one a box if your searching nic's. Silver nickels look a lot like regular nickels, and most non-collectors don't even know silver nickels exist, so they can be found in circulation. Dimes and quarters are much much harder. Dimes more likely than quarters but honestly, searching rolls on either one would probably be a waste of your time if your looking for that good 'ol element AG. |

I actually received silver dimes in change. They were at 2 different locations. 1 in October and 1 in November. I was thinking that people might be taking their old change to the banks just to pay bills. It might not be a bad idea to start searching more rolls of dimes.

Haven't found a silver quarter in change in 3 years...and that was in a till. I don't think I could ever have the patience to search quarter rolls with as many State Quarters that have been minted now |

I dont even bother with searching for silver quarters in rolls...the odds of finding one are just to great...
Silver Half Dollars for some reason are a bit easier to find,so,yes I will search for those

I have only found 2 silver Quarters, and that was in change. I have had no luck with the nics either. I agree with most folks here when it come to the halves. If you can get them then you have a better chance of finding some silver

I don't even bother looking for quarters. The only two silver ones I've come across in the last year was a 64d put aside for me by a bank teller, and in a large coffee can a co-worker had been putting quarters in for years I found a 1967 Canada Lynx Commemorative.

The chances of finding a Silver Quarter today are somewhere in the category of finding a 1909S VDB Lincoln Wheat cent. |

I've never found a silver quarter. I have however, found 2 silver dimes (1957/1964), and one of my coworkers found a silver dime as well (a few hours before I got there, doh!), also 1964. I've also found 3 War Nickels as well. |
