Thanks folks, I was not sure. I was thinking AU53 at best and could not tell if might have been cleaned. It is definitely dirt free. ;^)

A real shame for sure. A very nice coin, but badly cleaned.

Although it may be cleaned it is still a valuable coin.
Maybe a couple / few years in the right environment could give it a nice toning and it would look more natural.
Could look better in hand than the images shown too.
Certainly still a great coin unless somebody over payed.

The photos make the coin look too bright and washed-out. Less intense lighting would probably make it look better.

It does appear harshly cleaned and there are a lot of small to medium contact marks, but there seems to be no wear. How about experimenting with your lighting to see if better images are possible?

Definitely AU Details. It's too bad this coin was cleaned, as it would look fantastic with luster.

Have to ask, which set of images best shows what the coin looks like?
