I've been comparing it VF35 Morgans, and it is not quite there. The general concencus is bang on here with a straight grade VF30 (in my humble opinion of course.)

$500 to $750 if graded VF30.

Add me to the VF-30 straight grade parade.

Your VAM-3 is the later die state with the plugged "G" in GOD.

Really nice find. By all means, slab it and VAM it.

Agreed and agreed, VF30. Let us know what PCGS says when you get the results!

Only faint indication of a possible cleaning (to me) is the dirt remaining between date digits and some letters. That could be the leftover stuff from a cleaning attempt. Otherwise the coin is nice and deserves a straight VF-30.

Nice coin with pleasing appearance. Look forward to hearing how it grades at PCGS. The 1879-CC dollar has been a favorite of mine - it was the first CC coin I ever owned, given to me by my Grandma back around '71 or so.
