VERY nice looking coin.
I'm disturbed that it isn't slabbed. Too much value for a raw coin.

I wish I could have accidental buys like that. The fear is I might die from a honey-do-list project accident if it cost too much. Known die pair that produced strong strikes, with the late die state obverse cracks and stars 11-12-13 and from the toe. It has fairly extensive clash polishing. This die pairing produced many of the surviving very high end coins for the date. Better pics will be needed to pin down a grade, here. There might be light circulation. It's hard to assess originality of the surface. I agree that it likely is either AU-58 or mid-MS, possibly MS-63 if some of the lines turn out to be die polishing. Not a bad accident, for certain!

Thank you everyone for providing feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge of this series. I'm mostly a 16th-18th century European coin collector. Quote: Better pics will be needed to pin down a grade, here. I spend most of my time working and unfortunately I haven't yet invested the time needed to develop good coin photography skills. Here are a couple of photos I took with my iPhone.

Based on the new photos, I'm at AU-58. I see light wear on the head, left hand, right shoulder, breasts, and moderate wear on the right leg. The reverse shows discoloration on the upper wings, neck feathers and arrows and talons. I cannot determine if the discoloration is due to wear, but it would be in the right places for light wear.
Very nice coin!

Yea, I was probably a bit too conservative. With new photos I'll bump mine up to AU58
