I have a few things I am trying to purchase, just need to see if I can sell anything that doesn't fit into my collection. Hopefully to be updated before 12/31. So no updates yet.

My collecting goals for the rest of 2022:
1) Find a coin store in Israel (preferably up north) that I can buy coins (and/or banknotes) from at affordable price, and hopefully actually buy some
2) Find some more circulating commemorative coins in change (1 so far)
3) Write down the circulating date list for current Israeli coinage, start collecting it by date
4) Figure out how to separate my previous and new collections on my Numista account
My main coin collection remains in Moscow, where (most of) it will stay for the foreseeable future; there had been almost no change to it since my last report.
Goals for 2023 are on hold until I find out what Israeli coin shop inventory looks like, and/or whether I am in fact going to return to Moscow.

@j1m, it sounds like a pretty big life change for you! Best of luck. I think my year is complete, so here goes 1. Add early dated coins or coins attributable to a specific date from the 15th c. (similar to @j1m's goal). The "guardrails" on this hunt are to keep within my existing collecting themes (Low Countries, coins with images of saints, Poland). 1Q: Florence grosso (1405). 2Q: Florence grosso (1483), Utrecht guilder (1464), and a Venetian soldo (1485-1486). 3Q: Hungarian denars (1469), (1470). 4Q: Brabant double gros (1409 and 1419) Note: none actually dated, all attributable to a single year2. Same goal for 14th century (and earlier if possible) where I am missing 1390s, 1350s, 1320s, 1310s. 1Q: Florentine grosso (1347) None since. 3. Continue to selectively build my collection of coins with images of saints. 1Q: Saint Barbara (Duchy of Mantova) 2Q: Saint Crescentius (Duchy of Urbino), Savinus (Duchy of Castro), Martin (Bishopric of Utrecht) 3Q: St. Eugenius, Theodore and Mary (Byzantium), St. Maurice (Bishopric of Vienne, France), St. Boniface (Frisia) 4Q. St. Nicholas (Fribourg)4. Continue to build the Numista catalog for medieval Low Countries. I got involved in this in the second half of last year, so it wasn't on my 2021 goals. As an annual round-up, I've added over 400 coins to the catalog this year, mostly in medieval Low Countries, Spanish Netherlands, Dutch Republic and Italian States (Aquileia, Brescia, Ferrara, Mantova, Papal States). And indeed, that has helped reduce my spending on coins .

Quote: My goals for 2022 haven't changed much from 2021:
1. Get the rest of the Canadian and US 2021 coins I need and look for 2022 coins once they are out. Still looking for a few 2021-D and 2022-D coins. Also missing most of the 2022 U.S. quarters. Quote: 2. Work on getting more Canadian Victorian silver. I'm chipping away at this slowly and selectively. I did add a handful of coins. Quote:3. Continue to build out my Morgan dollar collection, focusing on higher grade nicely toned New Orleans mint issues. This was not an area of focus this year. The main reason is that Canadian dealers don't have much selection and U.S. shipping is often quite high. Quote: 4. Expand my banknote collection into US $1 notes. Similar to #3, dealers in Canada don't have much at all. Quote: 5. Continue to stoke my kids and nephews' interest in coins. I took my older daughter to three coin shows and she got to participate in two kids coin auctions. Quote: 6. Be on the lookout for medals that are on my list. Mainly British monarch coronation medals. I picked up a number of medals this year, mainly from UK-based auctions. I also invested substantially in my numismatic library by purchasing all three British Historical Medals books and the British Commemorative Medals book as well as a couple of specialty medal books. Other accomplishments: • Joined the ANA• Was a dealer at my local club show for the first time • Attended my first RCNA convention as an attendee

It 12/29/2022 and I haven't ordered anything so I can do a recap of my 2022 goals. Quote:
1) Get a slabbed 1909 S-VDB to complete the 2 full sets of small cents - Completed. This was a goal that was in the making for 45 years and I was happy to get it done. Quote: 2) Get the missing 4 3 coins from the 7070- I felt the prices are too high on what is missing, so this just stayed the way it is and unless my local dealer gets the 3 missing coins, I'll just keep this one opened, I did get a nice 1803 large cent Quote:
3) Get the missing 2 coins from the 20th century type set (may do this first as its the lowest cost of the 5 "real" goals) - Completed Last coin needed was the 1921 Peace Quote: 4) Get the missing IHC/FE - I purchased a few but like the 7070, prices are higher than I feel comfortable buying, so might stay at 9 missing, I did get a beautiful proof. Quote: 5) Get a few large notes (Educational, Bison, Native American, Battleship) and the Abe Fractional) - I really didn't expect to get any of these but I did get a few beautiful notes. Quote: 6) Pick up any Proof Morgans and Peace produced in 2022 - Nope produced so didn't get any. Quote:7) Upgrade any LWC that I can. I picked up a few early dates. Quote:
8) Get the 2022 Innovation Dollars - Completed Quote: 9) Get any Portuguese coins and currency that I don't have. I pretty much killed this goal, I picked up coins and currency I never thought I would get. Overall a great year can't really complain

Quote: Nope produced so didn't get any. Yeah. My not getting the opportunity for a 2022 Peace dollar was the letdown of the year. Quote: I picked up a few early dates. Looking good! Quote: 2022 Innovation Dollars - Completed Quote: I pretty much killed this goal, I picked up coins and currency I never thought I would get. Quote: My collecting goals for the rest of 2022:
1) Find a coin store in Israel (preferably up north) that I can buy coins (and/or banknotes) from at affordable price, and hopefully actually buy some Found a place in Karmi'el (where I currently live) that supposedly sells coins, but they won't sell me any until at least Sunday, and I don't even know what their prices are. It's a watch store so I suspect the prices are probably pretty high. I have addresses (one each) in Haifa and Tel Aviv (and a few in Jerusalem, but that's a bit too far) that I have confirmed are coin stores. I have yet to visit either. Quote: 2) Find some more circulating commemorative coins in change (1 so far) Still just the one. I can't entirely rule out getting more in the remaining hours, but since it's Saturday most shops would be closed. Quote: 3) Write down the circulating date list for current Israeli coinage, start collecting it by date Done, though I only just barely started on the sets. Quote: 4) Figure out how to separate my previous and new collections on my Numista account Done; was actually pretty easy.
