i see no doubling on this coin.
are you saying you cant tell what a doubled die looks like? or are you saying because this coin has markers like DDO-007 that it is a doubled die?
do not put the buggy in front of the horse.
first identify a doubled die then use die markers to determine which number variety it is.

So I'm off on liberty because of the width of the letters, because it changes with the amount of overhead light that I use on the coin, so a little goes a long way. More light more width. I am beginning to believe this Chinese chip in this camera is contributing to my error on these coins!

By the way, I believe it is a WDDO-7 not a DDO-001.

Well how much does it take to disqualify a die number? Even the slightest amount. Thus the need to make sure to read the description of the doubled dies on the sites first. On the V.V site they include images that are not doubled. (normal devices) theses are there to use for searching for die markers that are not identified on the sites.

I did not use Variety Vista. I used the Wexler site because I have had issues with VV before. Regards.

On wexler's example, note the spread is actually enlarging the devices. That is what to look for on the devices. Not the little lines, but the enlargements of the devices.

allcoinsaregood, First thing I recommend is filtering your light source. When you look up a coin,use all three sites; CC-VV and Wexler. I see no doubled die on your coin. John1  |

Not a doubled die. Looking for die markers before doubling is putting the cart before the mule. First find the doubling and then use die markers to distinguish between similar doubled die varieties.
