Somewhat weak D, attractive overall. I'll say VF20.

AU-50. Soft D but not real weak.

Deteriorated die and strike weakness, but based on the sharpest areas on the reverse, I'd say XF-45. Not quite weak enough for a weak D.
Rest in Peace

VLDS= very late die stage.
Grade IMO is VF20.
Not really qualifies for a weak D, but is weaker than usual.

Just looked at a PGCS F-15 weak-D which if this were the average early wheatie would grade a G-4 at highest, the reverse looks an appalling AG-3 and the obverse a G-6. Conversely, another AU-something to mint state PCGS graded 22-D weak D might bring an average VF+ if it were another Lincoln. This is literally comparing actual wear to heavy die-wear, and obviously both can be on the same coin, therefore making this date hard to grade.

It is the OPs left wheat ear which to me exhibits very light wear, hence the above average thought on grading.

VF-20/25, surfaces look funny, (pics?) not a "weak D".

Can't go above VF-25, weak D ( but definitely there).

have to agree with VLDS obverse and weak right side reverse strike. the motto and left stalk are saying an XF coin so the question then becomes do you grade this coin as it came from the mint? if so, then possible XF40. if you net it out due to the die and rev strike then maybe mid VF. since the coin is not a weak D there is really not much difference in value between a say a VF25 and XF40 so does it really matter?

Technically speaking I think xf45 based on the die state would not surprise me, possibly even lower Au. The weak D variety has a nearly non existent mint mark, and the ear detail is pretty much obliterated as well best I remember. If Fortcollins chimes in I am sure he can explain it in better detail, the man is a master of die states.

Even with all this talk, I am still holding to my original idea of AU-55ish (but could downplay to a 50), but can add that this die we see here is more than likely transitional from a fresh reverse to being more worn to produce this very weak strike. If there is luster, it is quite subdued.
