If my cheating is correct, that's pretty funny.

lighting is always a factor when assessing by photo. in this case the surfaces appear to be dull and missing almost all luster. I dont believe the coin to be proof. the strike just doesn't look right for it however the holder is covering part if the rims. the denticles just dont have the look of a proof from what can be seen. I think the coin is MS. either MS62 or 63

i saw the coin in hand a couple weeks ago. if memory serves it did not have much in the way of luster.

I think the pictures are to blurry for grading.

That is funny. I frequently save off images so I can zoom in on them, and your image names gave it away for me. Now we need an AU63 to match.

I guess I wasn't too far off in my AU58-MS63 logic. I assumed there was a reason you'd be impressed with a correct guess, wasn't thinking about label errors!

Nice grab - I'm always looking for MS58 coins.

Before you posted the grade, I compared these pics with the PCGS AU-58 in my collection. I would have graded this one at AU-55. The label error is quite a catch.

im glad you guys enjoyed this one. I think its pretty funny. this is one of those buy the holder not the coin kinda things. my friend sold it really quickly and for a solid markup above book price.
i wonder if it was intentional or was it done by mistake? the cert number says AU when you look it up online.
@kbbpll - I noticed the file names as soon as you said something about cheating. something for me to be aware of in the future.
i think my line about being impressed brought out a wider grade spread of grades than normal. I'm curious how things like that impact people. I have noticed it impacts my thinking from time to time.

i guess my suggestion that all coins are MS and that they are just a representation of the coin as it had left the mint is valid. every grade could be considered MS instead of the standard G,VG,F,VF,XF,XF and AU all coins should be designated MS. i.e. MS4, MS6 etc.. MS58 is the same as AU58. even PCGS agrees changing the mindset of millions collectors to use my new grading nomenclature is another thing.
