Regardless of picture the fact is if the cent weighs 2.5 or in tolerance but has steel like color then it has been introduced to some type of acid.

Looks like the plating was removed/zinc added on the outside of this coin? If the surface is showing a rough texture on the fields, it may had been a zinc added over plating. (the roughness from the zinc dust under the plating. If it weren't plated, then the fields would be smooth.

Plating removed. If it was a non-plated planchet, it would be struck up better.

@fplagge that's the exact color they showed up when I took them. They're not black and white photos, they are that color. I would never fool anyone. This is why I posted it here, I've never seen one like this. No black and white. Sorry if it looks like it's black and white.

I think ANACS missed on both accounts. Not MS and not unplated planchet.

I have one of these as well. Slabbed by anacs. I think mine is a 62. It looks nicer than these two but all and all they are not very eye appealing, even uncirculated. https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...EEE5FC13.jpg
