I'm really liking the reverse on this one with the ring toning and strike. its tough to get decent photos through plastic where we are getting reflections. just a few minor marks obverse. shoulder chatter is die related. I see this on many of them. small mark obv right field as well as a small blemish near that.
MS67. the obv spot (check in hand) and nick might knock it down to MS66+. shadowing is making a color call difficult. could be RB but I'm leaning RD

I think the golds and greens on the obverse pop when in hand and . I don't think pictures capture the absolute beauty of the coin.. The reverse image does not bring out the beautiful rim toning nor the actual light purplish color of the interiors . So I challenge anyone up for the taking . Find 5 legitimate point deductions

Find 5 legitimate point deductions I hate trying to photograph through slabs! It's like a pair of handcuffs, the glare from slab plastic is extreme and the prongs get in the way of the light. There are scratches on the slab - that also sucks. Any how, I couldn't get all the colors to show after like 20 pictures. It's easy to see in hand but my setup has it's limitations.

After seeing this in hand, I 100% disagree with PCGS.

Deep down I knew you were going to show a poorly graded slab. This is where we all start posting, 'well I guess that mark above the date is worse than I thought,'
I can second guess my original opinion all day. I'm sitting here looking at photos with little experience. You however, coin in hand, loads of experience, no! I firmly believe you. They done messed up! It's time for a talkin' to.

good call coinfrog. I also disagree with PCGS. the only area I can see that they knocked it for was the surfaces around the date area

I wish everyone could see this coin up close in their hand. The only issue I saw was above the date. Thad is trying to do it justice. I figured it out 18 months ago and nothing has changed since then, that it's very hard to figure out what PCGS wants other than to guard their numbers!
