We see lots of glued coins here.
Maybe try a soak in warm water.

Not warm water, acetone.

That's exactly how we know it's glue, the glue is clear. Multiple coins were glued together the separated. I've seen literally hundreds of them.

Yup, most people don't realize. Comes out white and dries clear. When I was a kid I used to "varnish" completed puzzles with it so I could hang them up.

to the CCF and elmers. Use water, acetone will not touch water-based glue.

I have literally glued coins together with Elmer's, let them sit over night, pulled them apart, used one to mess with know-it-alls on Facebook, used acetone to remove it, then post it again to teach them a lesson in how glue can look on a coin.

Yeah, when they have an obvious glued coin and swear up and down it's a double strike and won't listen to anyone... I get "creative."
