Given the posted pic, it appears to have suffered from brutal post-strike damage.

Damaged possible 65 silver

You know how impeccably rare the '65 silver transitional errors are, right?

@ DiscoLover82

I have three 1965 Washington quarters whether they have a mint mark off the top of my head I can't be sure at this moment and or if they have any errors etc. I do know that they are in more than excellent condition. I found a few and my father found a few and we kept them because that was the year that I was born. Right now I'm just trying to sort through the tons of coins I have and separate them the best way that I know possible and then put some aside that I see off the top of my head that might be worth more than the value of itself or what he paid for them or what I paid for them back in the day. The gentleman's coin above does look silver or partial silver. However I've seen those types of coins the way that the conditions is in at grave sites believe it or not as they get worn like that when they're put through the mall when they're being tilded in the ground. They start to get the appearance of looking like a button. And I've come across quite a few down around what they call here in Philadelphia, the Betsy Ross Bridge which connects Philadelphia Pennsylvania to New Jersey. At one time before they built the bridge it was a civil war cemetery and instead of getting rid of the headstones and anything else underground they moved the bodies the left all of what was in the caskets or if the caskets deteriorated left it there and through the headstones into the edge of the water so it's a great place to metal detect.

Three? Odds are they contain no silver metal but merely toned, plated, or plainted that color..

I see (in this very blurry image) a heavily damaged quarter, I think I see some of the copper core showing through where the cladding was ground off.

Why are people talking about this coin being silver and having a 1965 quarter with a mint mark? 1965 quarters do not have mint marks and one being silver probably .000000000001% chance. To me this coin looks like it has been exposed to some sort of acid or just very heavy damaged coin.

Wow, what stories from the fog LOL. The transitional was the clad 1964 and not silver 1965. I have no idea from where those flu-flu ideas come from. This coin it is damage by some acidic or strong acid bases. I can see how the Cu under the clad develop.

Please Reno and Disco, before made remarks of rarities made your work home and been well documented. Thanks.

Where has anyone declared it had a mint mark? if it had a MM (which it won't 'cause it is a '65), but if it did it would be on the reverse - of which is not shown here.

I wish the OP would take pride in their imagery and provide one that is in FOCUS!, and show all 3 sides.

Dearborn, Reno911 stated in first sentence "1965 quarters can not remember if they have mint marks".

Silver hsa been discussed because the OP mentioned having three 1965 silver quarters, then later edited his post and removed that claim.
