do not use overhead lighting. it creates too much glare and we cant see the surfaces properly to determine originality. looks AU55 or maybe 58. it could be cleaned which would details the coin and reduce its value.
if you want to post better photos without the lighting we can take a second look at it. at AU55 or 58 you did ok if it grades straight. otherwise $11 would be maybe retail for the coin maybe a little more
jimmyD is incorrect. the CENTS version is the more rare

Glad to hear! Thanks for the responses. I'm going to be taking a backseat and watching how some coins grade here, I always like to guess but it's great seeing more experienced eyes put a grade on it.

$11 seems like a good price, but there's not a lot of spread on Numismedia for these - G4 to AU58 is $8 to $26.

@IndianGold: Quote:Best way to learn. Also go to this site for reference. https://www.PCGS.com/photograde/#// Photograde seems to give much more leeway for gold than for silver. Yes? I've noticed that when I use it for your coin grading requests. Staying on topic here, I'm in the AU 55 area but, the glare is making it difficult to grade. I believe that is "glare" more than "luster", correct? Nice coin though and dandy prices. Good job!

one note on PCGS photograde. these will help someone new to the hobby to get into the ballpark for grade however you will find that quite a few coins will either fall in between grades, which makes it more difficult, and on top of that each series has its own nuances such as Buffalo nickles where the mints were mixing and matching dies, heavily polishing dies until some of the devices were almost polished off etc. best advice would be, as a novice collector, would be not put out a larger sum of $$ unless you are sure of the grade. post here and let those well versed in the series to assess them. its not perfect but they can give you a better assessment than just using photograde. also, dont assume if you are buying a slabbed coin that that is the true grade. the rule is "buy the coin, not the slab" good luck and happy collecting

An update over two years later, finally got around to sending it in with some economy stuff. A lot of people would probably call that a waste of money but I couldn't be happier.
