Looks OK , a close-up of the MM would help.

Well, I pulled the trigger thanks in part to everyone here. (And no, I'm not blaming you if it's not genuine. LOL) The links to the die pairs and overall consensus were just what I needed. Here are some better images, in spite of my shakey digits. Thanks again.

Nice pics. Looks absolutely genuine. The mintmark position is spot on, and you can see the raised dot inside the top loop of the S. Congrats!

nice. the original photos do not show all the wear particularly on the obv. I had it at AU50. I think the obv is closer to XF45 and the reverse AU50. if you slab it I hope the reverse is enough to pull it up. I think you are ok with a straight grade but there is always that chance they see something they dont like.
this coin will not do anything but increase in value over the years but the difference in price between 45 and 50 is not significant

Thanks everyone for the confirmation. It is appreciated and reassuring.
I'll be sure to post the results when (if?) I send it in for grading.

I missed this one earlier. Fantastic! You all get to learn how much it cost PP in GTP Season 86 Round 4!

Here is the thread from the "Guess The Grade" contest for those who are interested. Pages 10-13. http://goccf.com/t/452542&whichpage=13#3927965I was able to pick this one up for an even $1,000.00 I'm very pleased with this purchase in all regards. Thanks again to everyone for your help on this one.

based on your photos, which are great, I'm like 95% sure it will grade straight. I don't see any signs of any type of cleaning. its a superb example of this highly sought after coin. if it comes back even at XF45 you got a great price and has a value exceeding that already and in the $1200-1500 range. any collector would be happy to have this one in their book
